Middleware is software existing between an operating system and an application running on that operating system. It enables communication and data management of distributed applications such as cloud-based applications, enabling data from one database to be accessed through another. Examples include a web server, an application server, and a content management system. 

A laser diode (LD, also injection laser diode or ILD, or diode laser) is a semiconductor device similar to a light-emitting diode in which a diode pumped directly with electrical current can create lasing conditions at the diode's junction.

Driven by voltage, the doped p–n-transition allows for recombination of an electron with a hole. Due to the drop of the electron from a higher energy level to a lower one, radiation, in the form of an emitted photon is generated. This is spontaneous emission. Stimulated emission can be produced when the process is continued and further generates light with the same phase, coherence and wavelength. 

In computing, a database is an organized collection of data stored and accessed electronically. Small databases can be stored on a file system, while large databases are hosted on computer clusters or cloud storage. The design of databases spans formal techniques and practical considerations including data modeling, efficient data representation and storage, query languages, security and privacy of sensitive data, and distributed computing issues including supporting concurrent access and fault tolerance. 

With the synthesis of development (Dev) and operation (Ops), DevOps is processes, tools, and cultures that will improve the organization's capabilities so that development and operation can be combined into one and provide applications and services at a rapid pace. It is a methodology that combines the entire cycle from generating development codes to securing, distributing, and operating quality through storage and testing into a single chain so that existing software development and infrastructure management processes can be provided to customers faster than separate organizations.
